Every day the photography staff at the Minnesota Daily brings its readers slices of art, culture, news, and sports. At midnight April 12, the staff left the Daily offices and fanned out across the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses for an exercise that culminated in images documenting 24 hours in the lives of those who attend class, make their livings and spend their days on and near the University of Minnesota campus.

The DFL Convention for District 60B was held on Saturday at Edison High School in Minneapolis. Phyllis Kahn won the DFL endorsement for her 20th time in her 40-year legislative career to represent the University of Minnesota area. Kahn was challenged by 26-year-old Mike Griffin, who brought ample student support to the convention.
